In 1874, Georges Edouard Piaget set up his first workshop on the family farm, located in a small village in the Swiss Jura, La Côte-aux-Fées. Specializing in pocket watches and in the manufacture of high-precision watch movements commissioned by some renowned brands, his fame soon spread beyond the borders of the region. In 1911, Timothée Piaget, son of Georges Piaget, took over the reins of the family company and the manufacture began to focus on wristwatches. An expert in ultra-thin nano-manufactured movements and fine jewelry, it has been part of the Richemont Group since 1988.
