Daniel Jeanrichard manufactured his first wristwatch in 1681. His activity contributed to the development of watchmaking in the Neuchâtel region, directing his efforts in part to keeping the watchmaking trade alive. Louis Jeanrichard, grandson of Daniel was, exerted a considerable influence on fine watchmaking and installed in his workshop, long before the creation of the Cantonal Observatory of Neuchâtel, an observatory in order to test the accuracy of his watches. Belonging to the Sowind Group, in 2011 the brand was acquired by luxury giant PPR. Jeanrichard’ s catalog consists of the Aquascope, Terrascope, Aeroscope, 1681 and 1681 Ronde collections.
